The first school my oldest went through put me through so much hell that I'd screen the calls and then make hubby pick her up because I couldn't face the school anymore. When it got to within an inch of me having a nervous breakdown, we had to pull the plug on them. Me being bed ridden again helps no one.
My youngest's school calls sometimes. Her principal said I always sound so full of apprehension when he rings (yes I have caller ID!), which would explain why the first thing he says to me is "Don't worry, everything is ok" before letting me know why he is ringing.
I'll live with the fear of a ringing phone long after the kids leave school, I think.smaugehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14469665036342619608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2644538309673050572.post-1445526284576988852016-12-02T10:48:29.430-05:002016-12-02T10:48:29.430-05:00I am so happy for Kiddo. I like to hear that you are no longer getting bombarded with phone calls to come fix the school's incompetence. It sounds like his new place is a good fit and the teachers are equipped to give him a great learning environment, even on his rough days.Mandy Farmerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06597614838799191045noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2644538309673050572.post-17901969175042604622016-11-30T16:52:36.492-05:002016-11-30T16:52:36.492-05:00I am so happy for you and most of all Kiddo. My daughter came home with a certificate that she made HONOR ROLL, OMFG! This is her first year with all the right supports academically, still fighting for other therapies and supports but dognabit SEE what happens, they blow our mind!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11299309088454248513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2644538309673050572.post-39397960189199538892016-11-30T12:30:57.317-05:002016-11-30T12:30:57.317-05:00So happy to read this huzzah! So happy to read this huzzah!kim mccaffertyhttp://autismmommytherapist.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2644538309673050572.post-15366678618224644382016-11-29T23:14:22.216-05:002016-11-29T23:14:22.216-05:00Found this from another awesome lady I follow, and...Found this from another awesome lady I follow, and just wanted to say, congratulations!!! It is an awesome feeling when your child begins to blossom. It took homeschooling for us, after my son was expelled in the 5th grade by an administration who just didn't want to deal with him.

It's great to read a story like this, and to hear that there really are still good schools and good options out there. Congrats, Mama, and all the best to you and yours! <3From Mary's Penhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01407949771194206134noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2644538309673050572.post-30099222083615964002016-11-29T20:19:29.808-05:002016-11-29T20:19:29.808-05:00So happy for you!
