It had really comfy couches & lots of them, a room off to the side with toys & a TV playing cartoons for kids waiting, a TV that always had the Cooking Channel on & wifi. And, they had some therapy rooms w/ those mirror/window things, so I could peek in on my kid during his sessions if I wanted. Of course, my insurance stopped covering most of it & their rates were astronomical, but it was good while it lasted.<br />Second best waiting area - my son's last speech & OT office. Reasonably comfortable chairs & lots of them, tables & such to put your coffee & whatnot down, a large selection of magazines & lots of toys & books for the kids. They then had to change offices - and switched to the worst waiting area ever. It's a few chairs with a small table, a very small book rack for kids, a very small stack of magazines & it's on the edge of a PT space, where it's mostly adults & seniors getting therapy, as our speech/OT therapists are part of a larger therapy group, which also does OT & PT for injured people & seniors. Even if I wanted to veg in the waiting room, he'd never me. I don't envy you your waiting room boredom. However, if they followed your advice, I'd definitely send the kiddo off without me. ;)Autism Mom Diarieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13450262575844521212noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2644538309673050572.post-71524628020038446812013-06-11T12:49:53.262-04:002013-06-11T12:49:53.262-04:00we have WiFi too that's when I load up on free...we have WiFi too that's when I load up on free apps and books for the kiddo since we don't have a pc at home lol small town internet stinks!
